Photography Contest Rules: 

Theme: Candid Optics - Moments in Eye Care

​

• Any photograph related to / explaining a concept in optometry can be submitted. It can be optics related, illusions, clinical photographs etc.

• Each contestant can submit a maximum of two photographs.

• A short caption regarding the photograph and a brief explanation of the concept needs to be attached along with the photograph submitted.

• The images should be in one of the following formats: PNG, JPG and JPEG. File size should not exceed 25 MB and should have 300 dpi. Longest slide must be minimum 2000 pixels.

• The images should not be altered digitally except for basic edits like cropping, brightness & contrast, saturation and sharpness. No manipulation to the photographs is allowed.

• In case your photograph contains any identifying information about any individual, be sure that their consent is taken. For clinical photographs, consent form the patient and from the institute needs to be taken.

• The photograph should not contain any third party copyrighted material.

• The photograph can be taken using any device.  Both black & white and color photographs can be submitted.

• Royalty free, non-commercial publications of the submitted photographs can be used in ALO website or on their Facebook handle. However, the photographers will remain the copyright owners of their submitted work. The photographers will be credited in publications across all social media handles.

• The submitted photographs will be judged based on creativity, composition and their relation to the theme of the contest.

• Multiple submissions from single contestant will not be encouraged and leads to disqualification.

• Failed to comply with the above rules, entries will be disqualified automatically without any communication to the contestant.

• Last date to apply - 15th February 2024.
