Dr Nagaraju Konda has completed a Diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques and a Fellowship in Optometry from L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad, followed by a Bachelor in Optometry from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical college, School of Optometry. He received best outgoing student of the year award with distinction and a gold medal (2001). He also has a Diploma in “Teaching in higher education” from Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore.  He worked as a research and consulting optometrist at LVPEI (2001 and 2003), Sulochana Eye Centre (2003-2006), Managing Partner at Nishanth Opticals (2003-2006), Teaching Faculty at Bausch & Lomb School of Optometry (2001 – 2005), and Lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, School of Chemical and Life sciences (2006-2009). Dr Konda completed PhD at University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia in 2014. He has presented and published his research work at various national and international conferences and scientific journals. Dr. Konda has received best scientific paper award for Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lens Fitting in Keratoconus at the 6th National Congress of Optometry and Opticinary meet in Singapore and SERI-SANTEN travel grant at the SERI-ARVO meet, Singapore. He is currently, working as a General Manager at Brien Holden Vision Pvt. ltd., India.

 As President of ALO Dr Nagaraju Konda leads, guides, and directs other governing body members and executive

 members. He sets future direction of ALO and represents alumni at various civic and professional meetings.

Dr Vinod Maseedupally earned his PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia in 2013, he currently holds a postdoctoral research fellow title at the same university. At the university he teaches practical aspects of contact lenses, clinical optometry and dispensing optics to undergraduate students. He also teaches postgraduate course work students.

Vinod started his optometry career with a Diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques (DOT) at LV Prasad Eye Institute in 1996. He joined the BS Optometry program at the Bausch & Lomb School of Optometry (BLSO) laterally in 2003 and completed it in two years. The period before and after bachelor degree, he played various roles at LVPEI and BLSO. These roles include consultant at the contact lens clinic, research optometrist at Brien Holden Eye Research Centre and teacher at the Bausch & Lomb School of Optometry. At BLSO he was widely revered for his teaching skills. He extensively taught ‘Contact Lenses’ and ‘Visual Optics’ to undergraduates.

Ms Snigdha hails from the City of Patna, Bihar. Completed her BS Optometry from Bausch & Lomb School of Optometry (2002-2006). Being more driven to mangement and administration,she completed her Masters in Business Management (majors in Marketing & Minor in finance) from IBS - Gurgaon (2008-10). With good experience in operations mangement and Corporate marketing, she joined LVPEI in the year 2011. She is presently working as an Assistant Director of Academy of Eye Care Education.

Snigdha manages overall administration of ALO, she also develops policies, objectives, planning and implementation of ALO activities. 

Mr Vijay Kumar Yelagondula completed his Diploma in Ophthalmic Techniques in 2001, followed by a one year fellowship in clinical optometry at L V Prasad Eye Institute. He later obtained a Bachelor degree in Clinical Optometry from Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune in. After his graduation he took the up position of teaching faculty at BLSO. In 2009 he went on to pursue his Master of Health Services Management (MHSerMgt) from Griffith University, Australia. He joined back BLSO in 20011 and since then he is continuing the capacity of Registrar at BLSO while he continues to teach undergraduate. He teaches Optometric Instrumentation, Visual Optics and Occupational Optometry to undergraduate students. His research interests include peripheral refraction and myopia.

Vijay is the in charge of financial accounts of ALO. He also looks after membership enrolment and liaises with potential and registered members of ALO.
